Advice for Road Runners: Looking for wide-fitting stability running shoes? The Brooks Men's Adrenaline GTS 23 2E in the Black/Hawaiian Ocean/Green is a wide-fit edition.
Underfoot Feel
The Brooks Men's Adrenaline GTS 23 2E features DNA LOFT v2 cushioning. This is an upgrade from the previous version. It's lighter and maintains its shape more effectively over the course of a run.
For added stability, the Adrenaline GTS 23 features GuideRails. You shouldn't be aware of these rails, but they'll help guide your feet, knees and hips.
Upper Fit
For the avoidance of doubt, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 2E fits wider than a standard fit. If you find standard fitting shoes too tight, these will provide more space. In our experience, wide-fitting options are more suitable for runners with bunions, and Morton's Neuroma.
Ideal Run Type
The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 2E should feel comfortable and supportive at slow to steady paced runs, and over long distances. Brooks' ambition with GuideRail support is to reduce the likelihood of sore knees. The GuideRail system gets our seal of approval.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
